When my boys were growing up their Dad would tell them as he put them to bed, “I’d fight a velociraptor with a Lego sword and shield to save you.” This was such a sweet memory. However, I imagined this velociraptor as if no meteor had exterminated dinosaurs. They have an advanced civilization with metal working skills, vanity and the inherent cruelty of a warlike culture. You can take the dinosaur out of the Cretaceous Period, but you can’t take the Cretaceous Period out of the dinosaur. Perhaps there’s a meteor on the way.
