The Spring and Summer of 2010 were two of the most colorful seasons I have ever experienced. I bought two types of Canna bulbs. After my friend Susan Parrish gave me some of her bulbs, my Mother-in-law and my Husband planted these cannas in our field and the leaves were extraordinary with the sun shining through all the varied stripes!! Then three different colors of blooms appeared!!

In 2011, Canna’s of the Field was selected for the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Show & Contest in Knoxville, Tennessee. It was also chosen for the AQS 2013 Engagement Calendar: In 2013 it was part of a solo exhibition in Raleigh NC at Lee Hansley’s Gallery
