At Chimney Rock Park I carefully watched my step over loose and slippery rocks while our Granddaughter ran all the way with her hair flying out behind her. I had promised that we would be able to go behind the waterfall as seen in the movie “Last of the Mohicans” which was filmed there, so there was great anticipation. When we arrived at the waterfall there was great disappointment. There was no possibility of going behind that waterfall. Tragically that was the only scene in the movie that was not filmed at Chimney Rock.
